Brill razorcut 38 push reel lawn mower

Buy brill Razorcut 38 Lawn Mower for sale & Best Price!!!

Product Description

The classic lawn mower now in a new design. Worthy of note is the modern shape of the robust and foldable handle bars in silver and grey with ergonomic handles. The large wheels with their special profile also ensure convenient working as does too the attractive "rear spoiler" which ejects the grass cuttings in a controlled manner. Mowing with the cylinder mower means precision cutting of each single blade of grass. Precision sharpened to a hundredth of a millimetre, blade cylinder and bottom blade of special hardened steel leave a lawn cut as if with scissors whereby the contactfree cutting technique a brill invention ensures quietness.

Customer Buzz
My friend and I run and eco-friendly lawn care business, so when it comes time to buy more push mowers, we are always exploring what is available. We were first attracted to the Brill Razorcut 38 because of its ability to fold up (makes transportation easier) and its contact free cutting system (far less frequent sharpening). However, upon examining the mower more closely, we realized that these two pros were outweighed by cons.

Here are a few of the key problems of the Razorcut 38
- flimsy: Many plastic parts, including the wheels (things can easily fall apart, as some owners have experienced)
- illogical cutting height range: Unless you want the grass on your lawn to look like the grass on the green of a golf course, this mower's height range is too low for a healthy lawn
- small cutting path: Unless the area of your lawn is miniscule, 38 centimeters (about 15 inches) of cutting path just won't do the job quickly
- very expensive: For all of it problems, this mower is a terrible deal. I could buy 2 or 3 Scott's push mowers, which are well designed and sturdy, for the price of 1 Brill Razorcut 38 with a grass catcher.

You will never find me using any of the Brill mowers when I am working. Even if it means I have to sharpen the blades of my Scott's mowers from time to time, and walk to jobs because there was not enough room in the car for the mower, it is worth it. I'd rather save my money and time, and keep business running.

Buy either one of these instead, or really any other brand besides Brill (which includes the Sunlawn series as well, same story on price and functionality).

Scotts 16-Inch Elite Push Reel Lawn Mower #415-16S

Scotts 2000-20 20-Inch Classic Push Reel Lawn Mower

Customer Buzz
I previously owned a Toro self-propelled gas mower, and before that, I used a Black & Decker electric cordless mower. I was very unhappy with my Toro mower (which Consumer Reports rated as #1), since it was frequently stubborn at starting, and since the bag frequently fell off, blowing dirt and grass in my face. Ugh. The final problem was when the oil cap blew off and hot oil splashed out at me. So I started investigating electric cordless mowers again to see if the problems have been resolved related to batteries overheating, etc. During my research of electric mowers, I stumbled onto the category of Push Reel Mowers. I ended up doing quite a bit of research and concluded two important points: (1) get the Brill and only the Brill, since it seems to have better customer reviews (outside of Amazon's small sample on this model), it seems to be better made, it only requires maintenance every 8 years due to the blades not making direct contact with the grass (unlike the American brands that require frequent blade sharpening), and it offers a grass catcher bag made specifically for it. And (2) only attempt to cut 1/3 of the length of the grass at a time, since it will be too hard to push if you attempt to cut off too much grass at once. Another point of consideration for others will be the fact that using a push reel mower results in a bit better workout than using a self-propelled gas mower or the lazy man's riding mower. If you use a non self-propelled gas mower, then the workout is probably similar, since you are pushing a 16 lb. mower instead of a 50 lb. mower. I find myself moving at a faster pace with the push reel mower (since it is lighter), so I tend to get a better workout with the Brill primarily since I am moving at such a fast pace. For me, I embrace the workout - it's killing two birds with one stone: get a workout while you make your lawn pretty! :-) Do some research on the Brill via a Google search, and you will no doubt be as shocked as I was to learn just how bad for the environment gas mowers are, since they don't have the same emissions regulations that cars and motorcycles have. I have also trained my 10 year old son to use the Brill, and he loves it. He has used it a few times now and is thinking about starting a lawn mowing business with it this summer (I would never let him do this with a gas mower). One word of caution: the first mow with this mower can be a bit tough if your grass is wet and tall, so raise the blades to the max. height for the first mow. Then lower it a bit each mow. It is very easy to use after the first mow; I'm not sure why the first mow is harder. My favorite points about this mower (other than the obvious environmental benefits) is that I can interact with my kids while mowing, I can stop and not have to worry about whether or not it will restart, I can enjoy listening to my iPod while mowing, and I don't have to worry about rocks or sticks flying up in my face (if you hit a stick, it will just stop in its tracks until you roll it backwards to release the stick). All in all, I have been very happy with the Brill Razorcut 38.

Customer Buzz
I fear I cannot recommend this mower. I have a very large yard, over five acres, which I either mow with a lawn tractor or have it mowed by professionals. I do have several small gardens with grassy areas that need to be mowed quite often and a power mower just will not do in these areas. This mower being reviewed here lasted for one year of very low and gentle use before it more or less fell apart. There was a problem right from the start with the quality of cut, but I put up with that...sort of. Then toward the end of the seasons, things started going bad. Parts began falling off, the blade needed constant adjustment, the handle kept falling off and it made stranger and stranger noises. Now I am no mechanic, that is for sure, but neither did I just fall off the turnip wagon. I can fix things, and usually have no problems even with the power mowers and tractors unless it is something pretty major. I never did figure out what was wrong with this thing...there just seemed to be so many little things that just did not work correctly. When I pay this much for a push mower, I expect a bit more for my money. Sorry to have to give this one such a low rating but I can only go by what I experienced.

Customer Buzz
I ordered this elsewhere online, after my fiasco withe the cheapo Chinese Gilmour reel mower I ordered through Amazon. At least Amazon ROCKS - their return policy is the best! The Brill Razorcut 38 mower I bought instead is indeed well-built, as it should be for the premium price you pay for it. BUT... it wouldn't even cut the thick grass in my backyard, and I just mowed it with my old Honda gas mower 3 days before! The Brill just bogged down and stopped even if I literally ran up to that section of yard to get a "head of steam" up. I tried it on my front yard, which is thinner, and was uncut, but it couldn't cut the higher blades of grass. Even with 3 or 4 whacks, the high blades of grass bounced right back up, as if to laugh at this unpowered wimp of a lawnmower. Sorry, you enviro-whackos, but I'm forced to conclude these unpowered reel mowers are useless if you have any kind of real yard. Those of us in the real world with yards bigger than 500 sq. ft, and some weeds and thick grass, need some POWER! I'd love to go green, but I gotta mow my lawn! The electric mowers aren't quite there yet in battery run time, so I'm gonna order a new Honda. VROOM!

Customer Buzz
Pros:
No more lawnmower fumes and heat in my face.
Cutting my lawn is now very quiet.
My hands are no longer tingle from the vibrations coming from my old gas powered push mower.
Sturdy handle design. This is very important.
Very easy to assemble and use.
Very small footprint, easy to store.
Virtually maintenence free.

Cons:
This mower DOES NOT like tall thick grass. You'll really have to push hard to get it to go through thick grass and will probalby have to go over what you just cut a second time to make the lawn look manicured.
If you fertilize your lawn you'll need to cut it about every other day. Like I said this mower does not like tall thick grass.
If you have any large mature trees in your yard this mower is not for you. You'll spend too much time picking up very small twigs that otherwise will get caught in the mower blades and bring you to a sudden stop.
Little bumps in the lawn have a tendancy to bring the mower to a stop.
Brill could have made cutting high grass easier if this mower was capable of cutting at a higher leangth then what is available.

Other observations:
The size of your lawn doesn't matter as long as it is fairly smooth and not too hilly.
Don't throw away the little metallic strip that comes with the mower. This is your blade gauge and will cost you $10 to replace.
Overall if your in good shape and have patience with this mower you should be okay. The most improtant suggestion I would make is that you hold on to your gas mower to keep your grass under control when rain prevents cutting, otherwise you'll be in for a shoving match with this mower.

Dyson dc21 stowaway canister vacuum

Buy dyson DC21 Stowaway Vacuum for sale & Best Price!!!

Product Description

For most people the act of housecleaning isn't an automatic (or positive) behavior. It is, nonetheless, necessary. So you want it to be as efficient and as easy as possible. Say hello to the dyson DC21 Stowaway Bagless CanisterVacuum Cleaner. It may even change the way you feel about cleaning your home.
Using its patented Root Cyclone Technology the dyson DC21 actually separates dirt from air. Because it doesn't rely on bags or conventional filters, the end result is remarkable suction that thoroughly cleans nearly any carpet and surface in your home, and significantly reduces the amount of bacteria and mould you breathe. The wide 12.5 inch cleaning path picks up more dirt and dust, and a large debris channel allows larger pieces to be filtered in the canister. A versatile brush control function can be adjusted to protect delicate carpeting or thoroughly cleans hardwood and vinyl flooring, and the 12 foot hose with several handy attachments makes it easy to vacuum harder-to-reach places where dust and dirt accumulate. A user-friendly design allows the DC21 to maneuver around your furniture with the slightest turn of the wrist while the automatically retracting 16.4 foot power cord gives you extended reach and better access in every area of your home. Clean-up is a snap - with the hygienic and easy-to-empty bin. Finally, the washable filters are easy to clean and never need replacing.

Customer Buzz
For the past 3 months since I bought this machine I have mentally written my review of it every time I vacuumed my house. Dont get me wrong... I absolutely am a 100% Dyson fan when it comes to the uprights. I also spent the last 5 years of my life owning a cleaning company both in Europe and in America so I have had my share of vacuum experiences.

The canister is such a let down. The cord is way too short, the quick draw pipe suction for corners and crevices you can get from the upright is totally lost on this big clunky wand. I hate how the hose kinks constantly, oh it sucks the life out of your every fiber of your carpet, but will also eat any loose ends.

This is an over priced vacuum with a lot of wow factor to look at, which is all I do with mine now since I have both the DC 07 (which in Dysons defense I give ********** ten stars) I tend to just haul the DCO7 up and down the stairs and glare at the DC21. What is Mr Dyson's problem with the attachments also? They are not all included AND irk of all irks are NOT interchangeable with other Dyson models.

I feel it is my duty to mankind to write this review. Please dont buy this overpriced excuse for a vacuum.

Customer Buzz
This vacuum is all plastic and some of the connecting pieces are rather small. After 2 years, mine developed a slight crack. Unfortunately, the crack is in a place that prevents the dust bin part from fitting securely on top of the HEPA filter. Dyson will not repair the vacuum as their designated service center in my area says they have never heard of a Dyson cracking (search the internet for proof to the contrary!) and I must have "misused" it.

The warranty sounds good on paper but good luck getting Dyson to honor it. I wish I'd bought a different brand.

Customer Buzz
I love Dyson, The only complaints I have with this model are:

1. power cord entirely too short
2. Hose is stiff and could be longer
3. Hose clips to front of machine, and when you pull it, it moves to the left instead of straight
4. Canister does not open up with a button to empty

I had to return mine because the power cord was defective, it would not stay in any outlet, and with the cord being too short as it is, it was falling out of the wall to often.

Amazon sent me a return label and I sent it back UPS. I ordered the DC23 for the same price of $499. This is the newer version, and I was told the power cord is 5 ft longer and so is the hose, and the canister issues has been changed to that of the upright, press and release. Waiting for the new one to come!

On a note for Dyson, there is no other vac that sucks up dirt better!

Customer Buzz
I started using the Dyson canister in England about 7 years ago. Moved to USA in 2005 and bought an Dyson upright. It was good, but I missed my canister. Finally, the time was right and and I bought my DC 21 canister at Sears! It helps so much with dirt, dust, and cat hair! Highly recommend to others!

Customer Buzz
I have owned product now for about two month. The pros are the suction is powerful and it picks up great on carpets. Also it is very easy to empty out garbage from cannister. The negatives are it is hard to maneuver around. You want to go in a certain direction and the cannister needs some adjustment on your part physically to make it go in the same direction you are pulling it to. Also the hose attachment is too thick to get in some hard to reach areas.

Customer Buzz
Words can't begin to describe how much I hate this vacuum cleaner. The cord is too short and needs unplugged/replugged 3-4 times for a large room. The attachments are too small and fall off the back of the cannister often during normal use. The attachments have to fit on the end of the collapsed main handle which is too long so you can't get close enough to do any decent cleaning. The collapsible handle doesn't want to collapse easy and then it doesn't want to lock in place when extended to clean the floor or carpet. Yes, it does suck up dirt and dog hair well, but it should since you have to empty it at least once (or sometimes twice) during a regular cleaning job with a dog. The plastic dirt holder is hard to completely empty since the plastic holder has a magnetic affect on dust and dirt. It is heavy, awkward to use, a nightmare for vacuuming steps and hard to get stored. The hose doesn't swivel when you use it, then the main hose kinks in the same place closing off the air! I tried to get used to this machine and I am completely fed up with it. I am getting rid of this very, expensive overrated bad purchase I made. I have ran out of more negative adjectives to properly describe this vacuum cleaner that was invented by a person who I doubt seriously has ever vacuumed a house, just devised the mechanics.

Customer Buzz
This is my second Dyson as I purchased a DC07 when they first were out several years ago . I Love the DC21. It is made beautifully and so much easier to haul around than any other machine I tried and I tried out many. The only thing that I found that was difficult was that the cord is very short compared to most but since it retracts into the machine that is as long as it could be. It is perfect though as I have a beautiful home with hardwood floors and it is so easy on them and picks up so well as I have two cats, an Australian shepherd and if anyone knows them they shed alot and a little chihuahua and my home is spotless. This machine is fantastic . Dyson did it again.

Customer Buzz
No issues here- the vaccum works great for us, the hose doesn't kink and is long enough to get all the way up my stairs. It does an awesome job picking up animal fur off of the bare floors as well as the carpet.

Customer Buzz
I purchased a Dyson Stowaway Canister Vacuum. It's not really all that it is cracked up to be, and you are pretty much just paying for the name. The suction isn't the greatest. I find myself repeatedly going over areas several times to collect up all of the dirt. It works great on carpets, but on hardwood floor and ceramic tile, it's useless! Yes, it's pretty, and yes, the no-bag feature is a bonus, but overall performance, it wont be on my Christmas list any more! Even the hose doesn't stay in place when you coil it up for storage and it's very awkward and heavy to carry.

Customer Buzz
I always wanted a Dyson canister vac so when this one had a price drop I jumped at the chance. First, I have hardwood floors throughout 90% of my house; so how much could I love it....not much.

There suction is weak at best and the floor tool is poorly designed. I then sent back and went a local vacuum store and purchased a Miele Antares S4210. What a difference in design, suction, and quality.

Pass on the Dyson and go w/ the Miele. You will not be sorry.

This is a great product for a heavy Chinese cooking family. I own it for 1 year already.

Pro:
1. It is strong and robust. It can process pineapple (skin, head), chicken bone, banana skin, rib bone (and some othe big chunk bone), onion skin.

2. It is quiet.

3. It is beautiful!

Customer Buzz
Far above my old waste disposer's capability. No more problems with cloggs. Easy to install and does a great job.

Customer Buzz
we like it alot and it grinds up anything, that is if we put anything in it. Otherwise it grinds up what it is supposed to grind up very well.

Customer Buzz
I've been remodeling my kitchen, and after putting in my granite counter tops, I needed to add a new disposal. I could have gone with the $75 el-cheap-o, which I've had in the past. I decided to pony up and spent the money on a good disposal because I wanted something that was quality, and I wanted something quiet.

This is both.

When you turn this on, it's almost so quiet you can't hear it. There is no shaking of the sink like cheaper models may use, and it has never failed to swallow whatever I shove in it.

The only think to keep in mind, in my opinion, is although it includes all the plumbing parts needed, it includes none of the electrical parts. They expect you to have the electricity directly wired into the unit, and provide the cables and the appropriate parts.

Overall - this thing kicks butt - worth every penny!

Customer Buzz
Our new house included an Insinkerator (1/2 horse) and it jammed and jammed for 3 years. Upgraded to its big brother and we can throw just about anything down the sink. Love it.

Customer Buzz
Product arrived promptly, but in its original packaging, no outer box, its only handle opening torn, corners dented, and the stainless steel disposer easily visible through that opening. The sellers website states: "Professional Packaging
Every item shipped by eSpot is packaged in a brand new, high-quality box and cushioned with industrial-strength air pillows. While we spend more than the average eBay seller on packaging, we take pride in having every item we ship arrive safely to the buyer. " I had no way to assess who was responsible for the condition of the package, UPS or eSpot.
I returned the product at their expense, and the second one came in a new box with air pillows, but the disposer in its original packaging was in even worse shape than the previous one, causing us some concern that after the expense of installing it, it wouldn't work.

I spoke with customer service, which assured me that they sell a lot of these items and have never had any problem with them, but could not offer any further assurances regarding the condition of the packaging, etc. They are new to Amazon, so I checked their eBay ratings and they are very good. I had the disposal installed and it is working well so far.

eSpot was courteous, prompt, and the price was great. The transaction would have been perfect if they had used the promised packaging in the first place, and had inserted a note to the effect that sometimes packaging gets damaged in the warehouse, as customer service told me, but they checked and the item itself is not damaged. It would have saved me a lot of time.

Customer Buzz
Damn! That was fast and perfect. Ordered on Friday and arrived the following monday! Amazon Prime is really great! The price was not substantially less than the local market, but the Amazon service was extraordinary.

Customer Buzz
When I got this, I never put one in before. The instruction for installation where easy to use. its much bigger then the old one i had. so a few modifications where needed. When I finished, I had to try it out. Dropped a potato in and it was gone instantly. so quiet too.
